Directions
Kenton is a small village on the A379 halfway between Exeter and Dawlish.
If you are arriving from the north, take the A379 signposted Dawlish. After four miles, you will see the Kenton village sign followed by a 30mph sign. Ignore the first little road on the right, but turn into the second little road on the right, Torrington Place, which is signposted. The Old Vicarage is the very first house on the left: drive into the double gates and park in front of the wall facing you. (The post code is: EX6 8NF.) If you come to the village green, you have gone too far: turn round and take the next left.
If you are coming from the south, go through the village and take the first little road on the left after the Rodean Restaurant. That is Torrington Place. The Old Vicarage is the very first house on the left: drive into the double gates and park in front of the wall facing you. (The postcode is EX6 8NF.)
Note: When you leave the house by car, you must turn left (since the little bit of road leading up to the house is one way.) When you reach the end of the road, turn left again. You come out at the triangle which is the heart of the village. You may go to the left or right of it. At the main road, turn left for Exeter and Topsham, right for Powderham Castle, Starcross, Dawlish, etc.
